Paleo Vegan Sugar-Free Chocolate Chips
Enjoy these homemade paleo, vegan, and sugar-free chocolate chips as a guilt-free addition to your favorite baked goods or as a tasty snack on their own
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cocoa butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or preferred sweetener such as monk fruit sweetener
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Melt the cocoa butter over low heat in a double boiler until its all melted
Add the cocoa powder and mix it in with a whisk once the chocolate is melted
Take it off the heat and add the vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and maple syrup or any other sweetener you like
Place the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread it out into a thin layer
At least 30 minutes should pass before putting the baking sheet in the freezer so that the chocolate mixture is hard
When the chocolate is hard, take it out of the freezer and cut it into small chips-sized pieces with a sharp knife
Put the chocolate chips in a container that wont let air in and put it in the fridge until youre ready to use them
