Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt

In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms

Divide the dough into portions and tint each portion with different food coloring gels to create various Easter egg colors

Wrap each colored dough portion in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

Roll out each colored dough portion to about 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface

Use Easter egg-shaped cookie cutters to cut out cookies from the rolled dough

Place the cut-out cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Once the cookies are completely cooled, decorate them with edible decorations like sprinkles and edible glitter

Let the decorations set before serving or packaging the cookies
